  • Jacques DeMolay Lodge Scholarship Fund, Inc.
    • Due: March 31, 2014 (postmarked)
    • Student must graduate from a Houston-Area High School between January 1, 2014 and July 31, 2014
    • A copy of the student’s high school transcripts reflecting a minimum GPA of 2.5 based on 4.0 grading system
    • Include (2) letters of recommendation as outlined in the application
    • Copies of the students SAT or ACT test scores
    • Students must be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college or university of higher education for the current or subsequent school term. Trade or vocational schools enrollment does not qualify for this scholarship
    • Application and all related documents (letters, scores, etc.) must be mailed in ONE ENVELOPE  to ensure timely consideration of application
    • Amount: $1,500

  • TxDot Conditional Grant Program
    • Due: March 1, 2014 (received in the office)
    • Must be economically disadvantaged
    • Be a Texas resident eligible to work in the U.S.,
    • Have a minimum high school grade point average of 3.00 on a four-point scale, or
      • a minimum score of 900 on the SAT or
      • a minimum score of 21 on the ACT,
    • Plan to attend an accredited four-year Texas public or private college or university as a full-time student (minimum 12 semester hours),
    • Declare an intent to seek a four-year degree in civil engineering or a department approved operational business discipline,
    • Agree to work for TxDOT for two years immediately following graduation, and
    • Not be more than 30 days delinquent in providing child support under a court order or written repayment plan.
    • Amount: up to $6,000


  • Community Awakening College and Trade School Scholarship
    • Due: April 14, 2014
    • Must be U.S. Citizens or U.S. Permanent Residents
    • Must be high school seniors in the Houston or surrounding areas
    • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0
    • Must send the application, letters of recommendation, essay, and copy of transcript
    • Amount: $250 - $1000
      • Get a copy of the application from Ms. Cochran in room 148
