- Foundation for Individual Rights in Education (FIRE) Freedom in Academia Essay Contest
- For High School Juniors and Seniors. Watch two short videos about real students who were censored and punished for speech that is protected by the U.S. Constitution. In 800-1000 words, discuss the videos you have seen and explain how these universities betrayed the purpose of a university and violated the constitutional guarantees of free expression.

- Modern Woodmen Scholarship

- Texas Society of Professional Engineers
- HS senior, U.S. citizen, 3.0 GPA, enrolled in an ABET accredited engineering program, essay required.
- MICHELIN NORTH AMERICA DEPENDENT SCHOLARSHIP AWARD
- Applicants must be a dependent child of a qualified employee of Michelin North America. Must be a senior in high school or an undergraduate student already attending a college or university and planning to attend college as a full-time student.
- Asian and Pacific Islander American Scholarship Fund (APIASF)
- Available to first-time incoming college students or currently enrolled college students of Asian and/or Pacific Islander ethnicity. U.S. citizen or permanent resident. 2.7 GPA. Must apply for federal financial aid.

- Essay of 550 words or less describing applicant’s career, vocational, or academic goals. Aplicant does not have to be a member of a Mensa group.

- Gulf Coast Mensa awards local scholarships based entirely on essay submissions
- National Ground Water Association - Len Assante Scholarship Fund

- VII Corps Desert Storm Veterans Association Scholarship
- For servicemembers (or their children) who served in the VII Corps during Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm or Provide Comfort. Must be high school graduate or equivalent.
- Cat Lift Trucks Scholarships
- The scholarships are available to students in public or private schools within the Texas counties of Harris, Brazoria, Chambers, Fort Bend, Galveston, Liberty, Montgomery and Waller. U.S. citizen. Rank in upper half of class. "B" average. Must pursue a degree in mechanical engineering or a business related-field.

- Texas AFL-CIO Scholarship Program
- For children of members of local unions that are affiliated with the Texas AFL-CIO and the local Central Labor Council.

- Graduating Seniors are invited to submit essays reflecting an awareness of Texas history and exploring its relevance to the building of Texas. Topic: "The Seige and Battle of the Alamo"
