  • Intel International Science and Engineering Fair
    • Due: November 06, 2013
    • Provides an opportunity for young scientists, grades 9 - 12, to share ideas, showcase cutting-edge science projects and compete for awards and scholarships. Both team and individual competitions. Competitors must compete in local and state contests. Deadlines vary with state, but are usually in Fall of year.
    • Amount: $500 - $75,000
  • Sphinx Competition for String Players
    • Due: November 12, 2013
    • The competition is open to all Junior High, High School and College age Black and Latino string players residing in the U.S. All semi-finalists are eligible for scholarships in partner music schools, summer music camps and quality instruments.

  • Society for Science & the Public - Intel Science Talent Search
    • Due: November 13, 2013
    • For High School Seniors who have completed independent science research projects and wish to pursue careers in science, math, engineering or medicine.

  • American Association on Health and Disability (AAHD)
    • Due: November 15, 2013
    • Preference will be given to students majoring in public health, disability studies, disability research, health promotion or a field related to disability and health. Must be full time undergraduate or graduate student.

    • Due: November 15, 2013
    • For students in grades 5-12. For students who have shown strong character in the classroom, overcome obstacles at school, shown leadership among their peers or simply improved since the beginning of the year.

  • Maryknoll Student Essay Contest
    • Due: November 15, 2013
    • For students grades 6 - 12. Theme for essay: Jesus tells us, "Love your neighbor as you love yourself." Today, many people from other countries are moving into our neighborhoods and schools, but often do not feel welcome. Write an essay describing an experience of newcomers arriving that you have seen or heard about. Recalling Jesus’ words, what could you do to make your new neighbors feel welcome?

  • National Cosmetology Association - Sally Beauty Scholarship
  • National Rifle Association - Jeanne E. Bray Memorial Scholarship
    • Due: November 15, 2013
    • For dependent children of any public law enforcement officer killed in the line of duty who was a member of NRA at time of death and dependent children of any current or retired law enforcement officers who are living and have current NRA membership.
    • Amount: Up to $2,000 per year
  • National Security Agency - Stokes Educational Scholarship Program
    • Due: November 15, 2013
    • SAT-1600, ACT-25, High school GPA 3.0 or higher, demonstrate leadership abilities, U.S. citizen, must work for National Security Agency after graduation. Must major in computer or electrical engineering, computer science, mathematics or intelligence analysis.

  • Writer's Digest Short Short Story Competition
  • First Freedom Student Competition
    • Due: November 18, 2013
    • The First Freedom Student Competition is a national essay contest, offering 9th - 12th grade students nationwide an opportunity to compete for awards, as they examine religious freedom, its history, current importance and relevance in their lives. Online registration deadline is November 12th.

  • Women in Aviation, International Scholarships

    • Must be member of Women in Aviation, International. Various scholarships listed on webpage - some are available to high school students.

    • Applicant must be either a recently graduated high school Senior who will enroll as a freshman at a four year or two year college or university in the spring OR a student currently enrolled on a full-time basis at an accredited four-year or two-year college or university.
